Frisco Launch Site
The launch site is located on a Frisco Parks Department field located north of the city. All launches are conducted with permission from the City of Frisco Parks Department and are subject to the rules and restrictions listed below:

The site is limited to model and mid power rocket flights only not exceeding "G" total impulse.

Rocket weight must not exceed 3.3 pounds.

Rockets can be flown only as part of a sanctioned DARS Launch or Outreach Activity.

NAR Model Rocket Safety Code rules will be in effect at all launches held at this site.

Launches will be free of charge to all flyers and open to any member of the general public who is willing to abide by all rules and regulations required by the City of Frisco Parks Department, NAR and DARS.

In order to ensure our continued ability to fly at this field and to be considerate to nearby homeowners, it is important we fly safely and do not recover rockets outside the field. Accordingly, launch personnel have the final say on whether a particular flight is allowed.

Although field dimensions allow flights up to G impulse, flights may be limited to a lower impulse based on conditions present at the time of the launch. Weather conditions and launch setup location are among the variables that impact whether a flight is allowed. Given the size of the flying field, all flyers planning to fly rockets on an F or G impulse motor will be required to have their rocket inspected by launch personnel; the flyer should be ready and able to discuss the appropriateness of the flight for the field, including the appropriateness of the motor for the rocket, the projected altitude and the weight and diameter of the rocket as well as the size and type of recovery employed.
